Gottfried’s Classic Greece Site
... not the first, but not that old ...

While studying at the Universität Würzburg, Germany, a (Canadian) classics student-friend and I took a camping trip into the classical world in my 1961 white VW Beetle. During the two month spring break, we traveled through Greece, Sicily (Graeca Magna), and the Greek, Byzantine and Norman parts of Italy.
We had the goddess Athena on our side.
