The 356 Registry is an organization dedicated to Porsche 356 sport car owners and enthusiasts. There are about 6500 members. The 1998 Holiday for the Eastern US was held 30 July to 2 August and attended by 500 registered members who brought 300 356's to Troy, MI. There were a small number of 911's and several new Boxsters present. Old Porsche race cars were brought from the factory museum in Stuttgart, Germany to run at Waterford Hills Raceway. The Meadow Brook XIV Historic Races also featured local 356 racers.
A high point of 356 development is exemplified by the Carrera model shown below at East Coast Holiday.
