ribbonRe: I Too am pondering the Should I Sceanario

First, the power. No there is not enough. But then, there is never enough is there? Compared with the big horsepower cars, the Boxster will be a dissappointment in the power categaory. Guaranteed. If you're a power junkie, don't buy a Boxster.

Second, handling. There is enough. Take a posted 25 mph corner at 80 and not scare your passenger. Go from 100 mph to a dead stop in 2.5 seconds, and maybe scare your passenger a little. If you're a control junkie, this car makes you feel like you're the master of your domain. Buy one.

Third, looks. The new vette looks like a new vette. The Boxster looks like a creation of the gods. People point, they stare, they comment. When you take it to the car wash they take extra care and give it lots of room and have somebody ride through the wash just to be sure the two different size tires don't jump the rails. (at least that was the excuse they gave.) I know they wash more expensive cars but they loved the Boxster. If you want to own a very special car, buy it.

This is my opinion. And as far as I can tell, its the opinion of every person who's been lucky enough to own this magical vehicle.
