Went shopping for a Z3 without even considering a Boxster. Test drove one and it put a minor grin on my face. Agreed with the salesman about how Porsche could nickle-and-dime you to death on accessories, and was all set to order a Z3----but something held me back. Stopped at the Porsche place on the way home and saw a Boxster (speed yellow) up close, in real life, not just in R&T and C&D. Threw away my Z3 brochure and agonized for 3 weeks trying to justify spending that much money on a car. Got to test drive one and then it didn't seem like that much money. Bought one last weekend to drive while I wait on the Boxster S and it's a visceral thrill every time I get behind the wheel. There is no substitute. Z3 who?
