Dean,

I got $45,000 for a triple black with the sport package and computer. The car sold 2 hours after I brought it in and I got to meet the new owner. She's going to drive it until her new 99 arrives. I lost some money in the transaction, but to me, it was worth it. I was kind of depressed about trading in my first Porsche, until I saw my second Porsche driving off the truck. There's something about having one ordered exactly like you want it. I loved the first one, but I am enraptured with my new one. What is it about this car???? I was perfectly happy with my 10 year old Toyota MR2 until I saw a picture of a Boxster. I had to have one - and having had one (actually two) for 6 months, driving is a constant high that doesn't wear off. Everytime I am behind the wheel, it is awesome - everytime. I wash it, I wax it, I treat the leather, I clean the wheels, I use a flannel rag to close the trunks so I don't leave fingerprints. This is very strange behavior for a person who can accumulate a week's worth of laundry on the bedroom floor and only notice it when I run out of clean blue jeans. The Boxster is mesmerizing - I feel I will always own a Porsche because of this weird, inexplicable joy. I don't understand it, but I'm sure not gonna fight it.

Sorry for wandering off topic, but I've been on leave this week with my new car, and that's just the kind of mood it's put me in.
